PE IN TERM 1

Indoor PE will take place on a Monday and outdoor PE will take place on a FridayOn these days, children must wear their PE kit into school, consisting of a grey hoodie, house team T-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms/shorts and trainers. If your child wears earrings, you may choose to send in some medical tape for them, or they will be asked to remove them for the lesson.

Change to PE week commencing 16th September:

Due to World War Two day on Monday 16th September, the children will NOT be doing PE and should come into school in their WW2 themed outfit or school uniform.

We will do PE on Thursday 19th September instead, but due to it also being photo day, pupils must come into school in their normal school uniform.

If your child is dressing up for Roald Dahl Day on Friday 20th September, please ensure they are wearing approproate footwear as we will still be doing outdoor PE.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Homework: Term 1, Week 2

As part of the Year 6 curriculum, it is imperative that homework is completed every week to support the retention of curriculum knowledge ahead of the children's SATS in May. Everything we set the children should be accessible to them without the support of an adult. If they are struggling, please encourage your child(ren) to speak to their class teacher directly. We recommend completing this homework between Monday and Thursday so that pupils have the opportunity to do this.

If your child requires paper copies of the homework, this is readily available for them to collect at school.

Each week homework will be set on a Friday and needs to be brought into school on the following Friday. Spelling tests are on a Friday.

The homework expectations for this week are below.

  1. 5 x reads and reading record comments - click here to see what comments your child should be making in their reading records.
  2. 5 x spelling practice - linked below
  3. Complete the Maths quiz online through Google Classroomn (Click here for a guide to using Google Classroom to complete the homework)

Spelling list
